Name Stamps in NZ

A self-inking stamp has an ink pad built into the stamp body. When you press it onto a care label or fabric tag, the mechanism automatically re-inks the stamp face from the internal pad so that you can make impression after impression, and they’ll remain legible through regular washing. Simply press firmly onto the carmen’s care label, collar tag, or inner seam, and you’re done!

Our clothing stamp works best on smooth to medium-texture fabrics—cotton, polyester, and cotton-blend garments cover the majority of everyday clothing and deliver the clearest results. Stamping directly onto a care label or inner tag gives you the neatest impression.

On rougher or heavily textured fabrics like fleece or terry cloth, the impression may be less defined. For dark-coloured garments where black ink won’t show clearly, we recommend stamping onto a blank iron-on label first, then applying the label to the clothing.

Our name stamp for clothes uses a Trodat stamp mechanism, known for consistent impression quality and long–term durability. The ink pad is rated for over 2,000 impressions before you’ll need to replace it.

The stamp itself is designed for long-term use, with many families using the same stamp across multiple school years. For rest homes and aged care facilities, a single clothing stamp can handle a resident’s entire wardrobe, and then some!

You can personalise our stamp to your specification when you order. You can include a name only, or a name paired with a small design icon to add a personal touch. Our name stamp in NZ is 38mm W x 14mm H, which fits most names clearly and neatly.

The care label inside the garment is always the most practical spot. It’s easy to locate, protected from wear, and keeps the impression neat and tidy. Inner collar tags, waistband labels, and seam labels work well too.

For clothing without a care label (socks or plain hats), stamp the inner cuff, heel area, or inside brim.
